Lowveld National Botanical Garden
About
When the Crocodile River is low, there are interesting geological formations that can be seen. Before the two rivers meet they form spectacular waterfalls, which can be viewed at the Cascades and Nels viewpoints. When the Clivias are in bloom they are a beautiful and welcoming sight at the Gardens entrance. Take a walk thru the African Rain Forest and cross the Crocodile River over the suspended bridge. where the cascading waterfall can be seen. The Garden boasts one of the largest collection of South African Fig trees. The mystical Baobab tree is famous for it's unique shape and medicinal properties.
