Free State National Botanical Garden


The Free State National Botanical Gardens can be found on the outskirts of Bloemfontein and spans over 70hectares. FSNBG is home to 400 species of plants mainly from the Free State, Northern Cape and Lesotho. November - March most of the plants are in full bloom. March - June colourful autumn shades of yellow and red dominate the garden. Natural areas of the garden are a haven for wildlife which includes 144 bird species,54 reptile species and 32 mammal species.
