Sales Manager


Applications: Our client is a business-to-business organization that acts as a facilitator of intellectual property, people, systems and horticultural expertise and technology that enables the development, cultivation and marketing of new premium quality citrus varieties. They require the services of a business-minded individual to join their team. • Key accounts Management (KAM) o Maintain communications with existing clients in existing geographical areas and on existing varietals o Develop additional varietals with existing and new clients • Acquiring new clients and effective sales for the company o Contact per world wide Geographic areas for prospective clients o Engage with new clients in each of the Geographic areas identified as per variety. o Closing sales per variety in Geographic areas • Reporting o Report on all Key Accounts Management visits & trends o Report on all acquiring visits & highlight findings, that will ensure sales and general trends Minimum requirements: • B.Sc. Agric in Horticulture (an M.Sc. Agric in Horticulture (concentrating on fruticulture) would be advantageous), or Agricultural economics, or similar qualifications would be advantageous. • Experience in the fruit industries preferably in citrus • Spanish speaking or willingness to learn Spanish • Strong sales skills and experience • A sound grounding in key accounts management • Proven business, administrative and financial acumen • Proven people management experience • Strong leadership skills • Sound communication and presentation skills • Comfortable with public speaking and presentations. • Excellent negotiating, relationship building and networking skills • Strong computer literacy (MS Office package) and advanced Excel • Must be self-motivated, innovative and self-driven • Regular international travel is a key requirement of this position.
